I wrote a gift giving guide for Go Jane News. click here to read
We have been celebrating! 8 parties in 6 days. I'm wiped, but my mani is still in tact.
This is me with my Father and step mother. We did Christmas early as they are brilliantly spending the actual day in Naples while I'll be freezing my tush off skiing. My sons got lap tops and I got a sweater. Yes, times have changed. I'm no longer the doted on and spoiled child-my sons are. That is the way it should be but I couldn't resist whining about it. I guess eventually you stop being Daddy's little girl. Keep that in mind if you are starting a family-if you have a baby you don't get to be the baby any more (a quote from my all time fav movie-Overboard).

ReplyDeleteCute picture and it does really suck when the kiddos get more goodies than you do. :) Love the gift guide!
So you're telling me once Baby Z arrives Mummy won't spoil me anymore...darn! (not that Baby Z is on the way yet....)
ReplyDeleteWow. That is some partying! Great pic of the family!!
ReplyDeleteWhoa......laptops! Way to go boys and what a wonderful grandpa and grandma. Was it a nice sweater? Skiing could be fun. Where are you going? Aspen and Telluride are always good ideas. We like Breckenridge...it's close by.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a Merry Early Christmas! It is try, the grandchildren do outshine the children.
ReplyDeleteI have to laugh at our December calendar. Hubby just tells everybody I've got him on the rubber chicken circuit! We not only have Christmas, we have nine birthdays to celebrate before Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI wanna be a kid again! Have a great time!!!

ReplyDeleteSo true! Our party train starts tomorrow! I'm getting rested up!
ReplyDeleteI liked your gift guide for Go Jane News. I've seen SO many gift guides this holiday season, but yours has been one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI missed out on all of the good gifts once my first sister was born.
ReplyDeleteLucky parents!!! I want to go away for Christmas once. LOL!!! And...grandkids always get the attention don't they. :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love Overboard too!!!
Wonderful article! Love the comment about how fabulous wrapping can make a gift seem more pricey... as my mama said, "It's all about the presentation, dear."
ReplyDeleteKudos to you! (And presh picture of you and your sweet daddy and step-mom. You can tell they just love you to death!)
You look so cute in that picture Miss Social! I'm glad you made it through the party frenzy, that was some serious socializing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for including us in your gift guide story, you are too sweet!

Just read your holiday gift guide article and loved it. It was very economical too ;-) I’m glad you had a nice time visiting with family and your sons must love their new gifts! xoxo
ReplyDelete8 Parties in 6 days??? Ever see the movie, "Four Christmases"? I think you'd like it & appreciate the humor in it. =)
ReplyDeleteGotta love Overboard. lol.
I totally miss being a kid.
ReplyDeleteSo True!
ReplyDeleteI have been trying hard to keep that exact thought in mind. While buying for Drake is fun, I am trying to remember that more than ever, his Mommy probaby needs some special pampering.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of parties! Glad to hear you are enjoying the season!
