Monday is here and I'm literally COVERED in pollen. Today I wore Gucci shoes. I only have one other pair, the driving shoes. Both aren't that comfortable. These I've broken in, so to speak. But I love the way they look, so I endure. Again, not being the highest price shoe it is my theory that they are not the most comfortable. I love the gold horse bit like accent and I'm a slave to cute things that are not comfortable. What did Gucci do first? Was it hand bags?

I love cute shoes!!!
ReplyDeletemy Guccis are terribly uncomfortable and it saddens me. I have a classic black leather loafer with gold buckle. I got them when I was 30... so like a million years later and they are sitting in my closet collecting dust. I have a pair of Cole Haans -- almost 100% identical and they're like "butta" by comparison. The Husband has two pairs of Gucci loafers. One he loves, the other also black like mine, he hates...
ReplyDeleteLove the shoes!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I always feel that way of my cute but skintight Free People legging jeans.
ReplyDeleteBAck in high school I bought a Gucci watch off a guy in NYC.
ReplyDeleteBeing the 16 year old I was, I sent it through the wash. It did not survive.
duh! I always forget to mention the outfit-Kate Spade dress. Mentioned the shoe thing, though. TG LOL

I have too many pairs of cute shoes that are best for sitting down in...not for walking!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is darling Miss Social, thank you for telling us who made it! That pollen sounds nasty!
ReplyDeleteSending you grins & giggles,
tp
If this is a post focusing on shoes you should have a second picture zeroing in on the footwear. That way we can pay proper respect to the cuteness.
ReplyDeleteLook at you classy lady!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
You look beautiful as usual :)

Looking darling as always!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLooking great! My Gucci shoes aren't the most comfortable either..but love them!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit as always. One of my friends bought a pair of Guccis when we were traveling in Florence. He decided to put them on after purchasing them to go ahead and begin the "breaking in" process. Big mistake?! By the end of our stroll around the streets of Italy, the back of his ankles were bloody. So I guess I agree with you, Guccis are known not to be as comfortable.
ReplyDeleteGucci began as a luggage company; presumably bags came before shoes.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of Gucci shoes that are uncomfortable, too. I thought it was just me. I try to wear them, but pay the consequences in a few hours. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSusie Shina (pt) wrote on my FB wall. Shoes have hours-some can be 2 hour shoes and some 6 hours. She feels guccis should be worn for 2.5 hours tops. I think that is a good theory, think about your day and plan your shoes accordingly. xoxo

Pic is too blurry to appreciate all of the good things going on.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was 18 years old - which would be 30 years ago (!) - I waltzed into Gucci & bought myself my first G bag for a hot $175.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colleen
You look beautiful, as always! I think maybe Gucci did handbags first, but I could be mistaken. They do a fabulous looking shoe, but yes, it is uncomfortable!
ReplyDeleteoh you look super cute but more importantly - you're going to be on the dr. oz show?? congratulations, that is seriously AWESOME! i am so happy for you!!
ReplyDeleteSadly, I look at most shoes now and all I can think is "ouch". Hopefully our pollen is about done, but your is probably just starting. Hope you don't suffer from it much--we are Zyrtec Zombies.
ReplyDeleteOOOooooooh, (singin' here)...which came first the shoe or the bag??? OK, I'll calm down here, I just couldn't help myself. I do believe the bags came first.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever came first you wear the shoes well in your preppy little frock.
God bless ya Beth and have a wonderful day!!!
