Back to school

Tuesday marked backed to school here. I can't believe my youngest son, Wyn, is in Kindergarten. It was sad seeing my baby get on the bus. I'm not sure why. I'm so proud of him, he seems to be adjusting well but it stilled pulled on my heart. It doesn't feel like he was born yesterday, and he went to pre school (but only 3 days). I just can't help but feel a little empty. My theory is this is why so many people get dogs.

  1. When I son, now 26, turned 10 I had an overwhelming need to get a puppy...and we did. This too shall pass.

  2. I know the feeling. My middle baby has gone off to Kindergarten too and I still feel a little empty but *sigh* the hardest part of being a parent is letting go little by little. One day the tiny babies we brought home are going to say "I met my future bride/groom". Ok I'm going to make myself cry here. But they will always be your baby boys...even when they're 45...

You'll get in the routine and do great sweetie. I know these things.

God bless your day sweetie! :o)

  8. Awwww...I cried for 8 days when my oldest went to kindergarten. My middle goes next year...probably 2 weeks worth of crying from my end. And when my baby goes...my sweet baby boy...I'll never stop crying...even thru college! :)

  9. What you're feeling is normal, but may I suggest waiting til they go off to college to take the puppy plunge. That's what I did. I bought a precious 6 week-old miniature scnauzer puppy when Rachael left for college.

  10. Awww this is so sweet! I don't have children so I can't really relate, but according to my mother... "mothers will always think of their children as little babies, regardless their age!" =)

  11. Don't they look handsome!

I haven't any children, yet, but I can only imagine the feeling of watching them grow up. It happens so quickly doesn't it?

  14. Our twins started Kindergarten this year also. I know it's tough, but I have to admit that I've grown accustomed to the free time very quickly! I bet you do too : ) Congtrats to your little one.

  15. Bittersweet, but still exciting. I was a career mom, so when my oldest started kindergarten, I took my monthly savings from childcare and put in a pool - I didn't wait - the pool was in, landscaped and ready to use by mid September. It was a wonderful gift to the whole family.

Thanks for leaving your little note on my last post. Rita
