I LOVE movies. I wish I got to the theater more, and when I do...it's raining or a holiday and I'm usually seeing something age appropriate for a 5-10 year old. Last night, nothing was on, so I checked out this film I'd never heard of.
The Joneses centers around a "family," that is a marketing ploy to encourage friends and neighbors to purchase the products they own/use. I was fascinated by this look at advertising and the dark side of materialism. Secretly, I thought this would be a fun job for SC. Have you seen it?

I loved it and posted about it a while back I think? Demi Moore was great! I would like that job too, but I felt bad about how it worked out in that town... very original film I thought!
ReplyDeleteI vaguely remember hearng about it! Thanks for reminding me. XOXO

ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting movie! Companies use all of us to sell their products...the smart ones get paid in some fashion for the advertising!
ReplyDeleteThat would make me one of the "not" smart ones! lol

My friends told me they made this movie about me. Umm no, but that was very funny. I liked this movie - it was funny and really genuine about what is done in the marketing world.

I would love to see this movie. It is always nice to have the latest and greatest, but when it comes right down to it, my pets, friends and family are the most important! Everyone has become so caught up in having the most gorgeous and expensive things...something I, too am definitely guilty of!!
