The last 2 weeks have been intense. I believe I have Wyn on a schedule which means I can get back to mine. I want to do a sugar cleanse and get on with my 2011 goals. The new year always has me motivated to learn new things and get myself and my home organized. I'm using baking soda in my bath, as a facial scrub (with my cleanser) and just used it for the 1st time with my shampoo. I'll be sure to let you know how it works. I'm also adding lecithin to my goji/acai berry AM drink (supposed to be a good detox). As you can see I'll try anything.
What are you trying for the new year?

You two are such a cute couple! Glad to hear that Wyn is adapting better. For the new year, I'm trying to exercise more and eat healthier with more portion control. Although, fell off the wagon with that last night after eating a cheeseburger! I did walk on the treadmill, so at least I didn't totally wipe out!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to try a good cleanse. Let me know if you hear of any good suggestions!
ReplyDeleteYou and your husband make a nice looking couple.
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to try and eat better and exercise when I can start walking again!
Can I give you a tip for the baking soda for your hair? Don't use it with your shampoo. First put about a handful (since your hair is long) and then make a paste of it with the water and scrub it all through your hair and scalp. It will take out all of your hair product and won't strip your hair color. Try it and tell me what you think.
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot - after you do that THEN shampoo your hair. It will be super-duper squeaky clean.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to need to give up the wine during a cleanse; those grapes are sugary! Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteIt's true that you should no have any alcoholic drinks (especially wine) when doing a detox. It makes the detox way more effective without the booze.I finished my detox over a week ago and I do feel refreshed.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest goal this year is selling our home & moving, which I will accomplish if it kills me. Although, I'm hoping to survive this.
;-)
What does baking soda in your hair and face do? I'm so curious now! And how do you store it in the shower without it getting all gross?
ReplyDeleteY'all are a DARLING couple!! Good Luck with all your goals! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI agree...you ARE a darling couple!! And as for cleanses...I am thinking about one...does that count??
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you need a week at the spa!
ReplyDeleteI usually do the TrueStar cleanse at this time of year...I tend to lose 5-10lbs each time :O)
What a handsome couple! ...this year my new thing is...being a mommy! :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteCute photo! I'm just trying to stay on top of things for 2011!
ReplyDeleteA couple years ago Melissa Morris wrote about a product called Blueprint Cleanse, and seemed pleased with the results. Check it out at http://blueprintcleanse.com/
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about detoxing. I'm curious how the baking soda helps with that. Can you elaborate a bit?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of you and hubby!!! I'm going to try and get back to eating healthy ..after all the meat eating during the holidyas on our trip through South America. Hope Wyn's leg is doing well and he is adjusting. xo HHL
ReplyDeleteNothing, really. Maybe I should've found something new to work on!
ReplyDeleteYou all are a beautiful couple! I hope the cleanse goes well!
ReplyDeleteI am doing a Threelac cleanse. It's a yearly thing.
ReplyDeleteHi Beth!
ReplyDeleteI guess I posted about the detox on your FB link. Here is my blog post about it : http://mylifewithboys.blogspot.com/2011/01/detox-update.html The drink powders I am using are Metagenics and I am doing this under the supervision of my chiropractor who is really into holistic medicine. She did body comp testing on me before I began the detox and will do another body comp after the 28 days.
Good luck! BTW, loved the pics on FB! Looked like a wonderful, albeit eventful, trip!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great picture! Glad you have a schedule now and are getting onto your things! Good luck with the cleanse!!!
ReplyDeleteI am eating paleo-style this year. Feel so much better. In fact, I just gave into a craving and ate a bowl of raisin bran = instant tummy ache.
ReplyDeleteAwwww... big smooches to Hubs from Moi!!! XOXO
