Thank God I'm married to an eye doctor! I have a scratch on my eye, who knew how completely painful it is. And I feel SICK. Literally can't get out of bed....But husband it taking care of it. What do people do when afflicted with such a thing on a Saturday? And I'm having an Oscars party tomorrow. I'm planning a red carpet shhhhh...don't tell my guests.
On another note we've been doing a lot of work to our house. I promise to share pictures when it is complete (with a red door a la one of my favorite spas). These are the new lights we ordered. Do you like them? We live on the water so have a ton of nautical inspired decor.
I know you are all super jealous of my amazing photography ability.
Collars up!

I got a scratch on my eye once, so completely painful! Feel better soon. Love the lights :)
ReplyDeleteOh honey, I hate to hear about your eye but at least ya have 'connections' with the eye~doctor! Heehehehe!!!
ReplyDeleteHeck, my hubby world treat mine like he would an old cows eye! :o)
Girl, just host your Oscar party dressed as a preppy pirate and throw a patch over that eye and you'll be good to go!
God bless ya and do take care of yourself and let that Hubs dote.
Hope you feel better soon! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThings happen for a reason hon, the scratch on the eye probably means that a certain someone needs a little rest. Use this time for introspection and "milk it" for all it's worth. Feel better soon. Your friend over at T.P.T.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I am finally in the right company! The the name "Socialite" makes me smile! I'm teasing, but it really is rather a nice thought. Imagine! A Socialite! Me? Never! They would know immediately I was an imposter!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to be married to one who can fill your needs.
Like Nezzy, I'm sorry to hear about your eye but sounds like you are in good hands.
Me? I'm married to a Minister and heaven only knows how truly grateful I am. I need that!
And the lights? Pure YUM! I love them and I cannot wait to see your red door. Maybe I should do one of those. The trim on the house is Pomagranate Red and I love it..shutters also.
However, we have a white security door that blocks a clear view of the front door...so..guess it doesn't matter.
Have a wonderful party tomorrow night. We will be doing the same thing..but a RED CARPET?
Oh my! Do take lots of pictures! It sounds like a wonderful evening is ahead of you!
So sorry to hear about your eye! Thank Goodness that your sweet husband knows how to care for your injury! Eye scratches are so painful, I hope that you can get lots of healing and resting done today.
ReplyDeleteAs for tomorrow, I HOPE YOU TAKE PICTURES!!! How absolutely fabulous, my heart went pitter-pat when I read "red carpet"!
The lights are wonderful and we painted our front door red last summer! I love working on our nest too, fluffing it and improving on it, it just brings me joy.
Oh goodness that sounds awful Beth. I hope you are properly resting. Your hubby sounds wonderful though! Enjoy the party tomorrow and don't work too hard!!
ReplyDeleteYuck! Feel better! I will be tweeting the Oscars tomorrow night for work. Wish I thought to have an Oscars party instead. I am sure your Red Carpet will be amazing...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you don't feel well! I love the lamp you've are showing ! Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteLight fixture is great! I just posted about how hard it is to shop for light fixtures and can really appreciate what an accomplishment it is to find one you like.
ReplyDeleteMy husband gets corneal ulcers from time to time. Not fun! Hope you feel better soon!
Oh, that sounds really bad! Hope you feel better! I do like the lights, for the record.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I hope you feel better soon... good thing you have your personal eye doctor, being able to get answers to how something feels will help ease the anxiety...
ReplyDeleteYour lights are wonderful ,.. can't wait for you to share photos...
Sounds like a fabulous party you have planned for your guests!!! xo HHL
oh, i hope you are ok. that sounds miserable. maybe you can have a pirate oscar party? all right, i'm reaching. xo
ReplyDeleteThat's sounds extremely uncomfortable and painful. At least you've got your own on-call doctor to help you.
ReplyDeleteThat happened to me once, when I was in college. My contact lens tore and, because I waited way too long to take it out (I was an idiot!), it scratched my eye. The doctor gave me something to help it repair itself faster, but I had to wear my glasses for a week or two.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read about your eye and hope you feel better already! Also hope your party is a blast!
ReplyDeleteTell that hubby of yours to bring home Tetracaine drops and that will numb it for the duration of the party at least! Hopefully he has already thought of that. Hope it feels better soon and have a ball!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your eye is better soon.
ReplyDeleteOuch Miss Social, that does sound painful! Thank heaven your darling husband can take care of you. Hopefully by the time you see this you will be having a splendid time at your party!
