Socialite Sunday
Hello Darlings! I hope this blog finds you all divine. I've been thinking about Inspiration and Elizabeth Taylor. My favorite SATC episode is when Charlotte is depressed after the loss of her pregnancy. Tearful she watches an E! True Hollywood Story about Elizabeth Taylor. Channeling her strength Charlotte finds her inner elegance and attends Miranda's son's birthday party. The fact that Elizabeth Taylor could inspire someone....give someone hope...that is amazing to me. I'm inspired by blogs, magazines, news papers (The New York Times Style Section is staring at me as I type this blog). But I've never thought about if I could evoke inspiration in others. I don't know if I can but I think that would be such an honor, a priviledge.
I remember that episode. I loved that. Here are a few silly things that inspire me: The documentary on Isaac Mizrahi UNZIPPED. How he puts on shows, feels so insecure but is genius. Watching GI Jane the movie. Watching Demi Moore kick butt amongst the men. Seeing concerts or great movies. Watching talented people at work. The show Iconoclasts inspires me too. Amazing to see what people can achieve. There's a few! You inspire me too. And I misssss youuuuuu!
I love Sex and the City and especially that episode! Inspiration can come from the least likely of places! Thanks for stopping by my blog, yours is so great!
Inspiration is everywhere ... I know that BlogLand and its inhabitants have often inspired me to keep going, not give up, question and listen. You my friend inspire often through your writing and the thoughts you share ... you too make a difference!!! xo HHL
oh, that's a tough one. i'm inspired by lots of things-- amongst the top are people (there's a lot of bad in this world, but there's also such good and i am inspired by those that do good) and the other biggie is probably the beauty of the world around me, i often find myself overwhelmed by my surroundings!
Successful people inspire me. Especially when you know they've made it by working hard, believing in themselves and preserving their moral work ethic. Very few left in this world. Btw, I love that episode of SATC. I have all 6 seasons on dvd, best purchase I've ever made. Have a great week!
I am inspired by so many lovely women in my life. Cancer survivors, cooks, crafters, writers, teachers, speakers, friends, oh how my list goes on and on! I have ONE main Southern Belle that truly pushes me to be the wife, mother, friend, co~worker and entertainer that I am. She inspires me each and everyday.
Such a great question. I've seen every single SATC episode, so they certainly inspire me, too. Right now I'm obsessed with the current issue of House Beautiful, a.k.a. "the pink issue." Well worth picking up at the newsstand! xoxox
Many people in blogland inspire me to try new things. I have 4 projects to paint and stain in the garage just waiting until the weather warms up. My family inspires me, watching them since they are adults now is just awesome.
That SATC episode was one of my very favorites. Charlotte has always been the character I related to the most. As for inspiration, my mother is my inspiration. She is a strong independant woman and has the belief that I can do ANYTHING.
YOU inspire me! For writing a great book, raising two cute little boys, caring about your community, being a wife, daughter and still staying stylish and beautiful! -linda,ny
