Monogram Monday

I typically don't blog about anything too serious. I have problems, like everyone else. I deal with them the best I can. Today I lost my first friend. Yes, my sister passed 7 years ago but today I celebrated a peer. Sarah and I went to grade school/middle school together. We also waitressed together college summers (huge props that she went to Dickinson--Husband and Daddy's alma mater). Sarah had cancer and blogged, I interviewed her for my blog about a year ago.  My heart is SO heavy. Sarah's entire family spoke--lots of laughs/tears. She wanted us to focus on color/fashion/fun/simple happiness/cars (I love cars)! Mostly she brought together a lot of lovely ladies I love and haven't seen in awhile. I believe she was smiling on us today as we lunched at The White Dog Cafe. The only thing is--I wish she was there in person.
Sarah, you brought joy, laughter and smiles into our life. It will carry on with your boys. You will always be in my heart! No one forgot to mention your monogrammed convertible, you little preppy! xoxo

  1. Dear Friend .. no words will lessen the pain and emptiness you are feeling ... It sounds like Sarah gave so much to all who knew her... she has left you with some fabulous memories and will remain in your thoughts and heart. I'm certain she was with you all at your lunch today ... and will continue to look over you from above... Blessings xo HHL

  5. I'm sorry, Beth. All of you girls are too young to have to deal with this. May I ask which one of these beautiful ladies with you is Sarah?

  6. Sarah isn't in this pic. This was from lunch today, but....this was our group. I just wish she was there. We would have laughed harder than we did with her present.
