Monogram Monday

Happy Memorial Day! God bless our troops and never, ever forget.

Opening night at our yacht club was a blast. Feels like yesterday we had closing night but when I think of all we've been through this year I know it's not quite that simple. I am so embarassed to admit this but I don't love summer. My hair is a mess, I'm hot, tired, a taxi driver and over all bothered. I so want to change this situation, so next summer I'm moving to New Hampshire to my favorite Lake. I just can't take it anymore and I'm sick of being in a 2 month bad mood. So until next summer I'll visit Tranquil Touch Day Spa to try to ease the stress that summer brings.

My theory is now that "summer" isn't time off from school but rather a perpectual slave to camp I can no longer tolerate my summer hair. Do you love summer?

  1. Beth, don't let your hair ruin the summer. You should try a Keratin treatment or a Brazilian blowout at least. They really get rid of the frizzies. Trust me, I live in Florida.

  2. Happy Memorial Day to you! I love summer, but I'm not a big fan of the extreme heat and bug bites, so I do think it has its downsides.

  3. I hate summer! Especially here along the coast of South Carolina... it's extremely hot and humid every day! You would think I would move, but we are stuck here until husband retires! But, I do seek refuge at the lake house, where the heat is a little more tolerable!
And don't even get me started about my hair!

  5. You look great , as usual. I hate the summer, as it makes my fine hair even limper....My daughter's hair, which is thick gets frizzier- she gets a very mild relaxer- the hairdresser tells us it's less harmful than the brazilian straighters.( who knows if thats true or not).
I hear you about more driving to regattas etc in the summer. New Hampshire sounds like a most excellent solution!-linda,ny

  7. Summer hair, winter hat hair, pick your poison hair... as long as you have hair and it is mostly on your head, be thankful.

  9. I also love winter as the clothes are more forgiving, not so much in the summer
