Socialite Saturday

Hello! We are knee deep in Family Regatta weekend at OCYC and tonight is poker and a movie on the lawn. I wanted to wrap up my birthday toast, "40 things I've learned now that I'm 40."

Find your tribe and surround yourself with like minded people. Then you won't have to constantly explain your behavior.

Dr. Seuss says "People that mind don't matter. People that matter don't mind."

I know I live in my own world. But it's O.K. they know me here

I live in a Frat house. As house bunny I say it's happy hour somewhere

The greatest lesson I've learned and the point of my book is don't be friends with or do things for status or money. Also, don't be mean on your way up, you will need everyone on your way down.

Be genuine and authentic. Life is short. Let's have fun and not take everything so seriously.

I finished off my toast by thanking friends, and my parents and to Husband I said:

I would only leave St. Davids for you! I was prepared to be self sufficient and create my own life/happiness. But, I didn't need to be so independent because you've made all of my dreams come true!
