The Ellen DeGeneres Show makes me smile! Oprah was on my TV almost all afternoons at 4:00PM, it was sort of my down time before dinner and homework. Crying almost always occurred. Now that her show has ended I've been watching Ellen. Ellen is very funny but she also brings tears to my eyes--not in the same way. Yes, she helps people that are struggling. But she also finds fans and surprises them with tickets to see their favorite artist in concert or meet them. I love how she brings screams of joy to people. Seeing someone so overcome with excitement is contagious. I so wish I could do that or help in some small way. If you haven't caught the show I highly suggest it as a small hour to celebrate and share in the joy. Everyone needs time in their busy lives to laugh!
Do you watch? Do you watch other shows that have the same effect?

Nope, I don't watch Ellen.
ReplyDeleteI do though miss Oprah in that spot. {{{SIGH}}}
God bless and have a fabulous day sweetie!!! :o)
Love love love Ellen. I cry everytime she helps someone in need!
ReplyDeleteI still miss Oprah...but it does mean I get other things done at 4pm lol. I like Ellen but am never fussy for her guests. I'm not into all the stars etc...but I hear Lindsay Lohan will be on the show on December 15th!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I'm one for afternoon television. If I watch anything it's Dr. Oz. I have seen Ellen once or twice and think she is a hoot.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Ellen, but dragging out a show when there's only one guest or people writing in expecting something for it annoys me.
ReplyDeleteI just love her show! I loved the day she introduced the 2 little Brittish girls that were insane over some singer whose name I can't recall. I've never laughed so hard in my life. She just totally cracks me up! It comes on here from 11:00 AM to Noon, so I catch it when I can. Living with a hubby that's addicted to TV, I tend to not turn it on during the day while he's at the office. One can only listen to so much Fox News & old Westerns. And yes, he's going deaf so I can hear his TV all the way in the den when he pops home for lunch. I started watching Ellen in self defense, LOL!
ReplyDeleteI miss puttering in the kitchen watching Oprah after teaching all day; Ellen is my new girl!
ReplyDeleteI love Ellen's show! I actually did cry the other day when she reunited a military family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog; it lead me to yours! I love your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteMy world stops every day at 3:00. Or at 2:55 I should say. That's when I get the kettle boiling and pour myself a cup of hot tea in a pretty teacup. By the time the big hand is on the 3, I am settled down in my favorite comfy, red and beige plaid chair, sipping tea, and watching Ellen dance through the audience. Heaven.
ReplyDeleteI love Ellen!! I love seeing all her guests dance out to the stage!
ReplyDeletei like ellen, but have never gotten into the talk shows. my mom and sister were definitely oprah fans though.
ReplyDeleteI always forget that Ellen is on! I was such an Oprah girl.
