Hello lovely Blends! Hope you are having a terrific weekend. I've always loved anything and everything plaid. Tweed, toile and tartan aside I'm curious what you all think of Burberry. Husband and I don't have a lot of it but my Father always had a trench coat for the rain from Burberry.
Tacky or Traditional?

Cute, Cute, Cute...sweetie. You do wear plaid so well.
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, you could never 'look' tacky!!!
God bless and have a blast of a weekend! :o)
i love burberry, in fact my grandmother just sent me a new red scarf that arrived last night. you look adorable!
ReplyDeleteBurberry is timeless. You wear it well.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely trad...but like anything, it can be tacky when the masses have access to it. Just like Coach and other brands, as long as average people can buy it they will want the most logo possible so their friends know what they spent. A nice trench or even a riding jacket with the plaid showing a bit at the cuff is timeless.
ReplyDeleteBurberry = Trad. :) And you wear it well!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Suburban Princess. A trench, a scarf and a riding jacket should be the limit. I have both the camel plaid and the navy plaid scarf, a raincoat and a umbrella that is so old that it says Burberry's. Oh I forgot, I have a navy wool military coat that is also a Burberry's. I think head to toe Burberry is too much.
ReplyDeleteOver here at the Blue Barn - I wear a ton of Burberry. I consider their clothing an investment and I have taken the time to make selections appropriately. If you go beyond the plaid, Burberry has some exceptional items that are worth the investment. I have at least one "fancy" outfit per season that is Burberry. The cut and style works well with my figure and I can wear many of their things to assorted events and over all the seasons. Most of the time, people do not realise it is Burberry because it is such a great, classic fit made of quality materials. If you are looking for something special - I highly recommend Burberry.

I think it's a fine line. I like my scarf and umbrella, and I think their jackets are high quality, but it's done wrong by so many people. Suburban Princess nailed it on the head.
ReplyDeleteTraditional definitely. It's a timeless classic!
ReplyDeleteIt is traditional. And I would love at least one piece in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteTraditional, without a doubt. The classic B plaid is beautiful. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI like the look! I think it's chic.
ReplyDeleteI also love Burberry, and own several pieces. One scarf, one handbag, and two watches (one gold tank, one tradition plaid with silver accents). NEVER are any of those items worn together - one piece at a time for me. :-) XOXO

My husband actually surprised me with the Burberry plaid wellies. I ADORE them. Something so chic to wear on rainy days-classic.
ReplyDeleteBurberry is classic. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI have those Burberry heels, love 'em! Although they aren't the most comfy heels!
ReplyDeleteMy Burberry phase officially ended about 3-4 years ago, although I still love my Burberry Quilted jacket, umbrella, earmuffs, etc.
I gave all my Burberry purses and wallets away to family members. ;)
Adore Burberry, it's a classic, stick to it!
