WASP Wednesday

Hello Pretties! Between being in New Hampshire and being a refugee in Ocean City I feel like I'm playing a constant game of catch up. Husband and I are co hosting a party at our yacht club on Friday night--The Bootleggers Ball. I was strongly instructed by my other co hosts that I'd be in BIG trouble if I showed up in Lilly, ugh. What do Mobsters wear in the summer?

Greye has written several times from camp--I will save the letters forever like love letters I once saved from old flames. He is having a blast and hasn't been afraid to remind me and frankly rub it in a bit. But I couldn't be more thrilled.

My birthday is Saturday and frankly I'm having HUGE sticker shock on the price of gold. I'll keep you posted but don't get too excited, summer isn't the best time for a birthday (especially with busy frat boys).

But they're worth it as they are very funny.

  1. Happy early birthday. Mine is in July too so I understand about busy time. As what to wear to the Bootleggers Ball, how about researching the "Boardwalk" TV series that ran last 2 years or so. Tight striped shirt, short skirt adn lace up shoes and stocking? Go to the library and look at old magazines from the '20's - "Look", "Life" and such. Most of all HAVE a BLAST and post what you wore please

  2. Happy early birthday! I too have a summer birthday, you might as well not have one since everyone forget about it! But from one Cancer to another, enjoy your birthday...the best part about a summer birthday is that you'll have a fantastic tan no matter what you do!

  4. Just think 1920's, 1930's for what to wear. Go as a flapper! You'll be a total smash!

And here's wishing you a very Happy Birthday...

  5. Ah, my parents went to a party like that at the lake a few years ago, and my mom wore like a tiered flapper dress! Hope your birthday's amazing, too!

  8. Enjoy the Ball. It sounds like a lot of fun. A solid shift in red, black, or even pink might work for you. Even better, see if you can find a twenties inspired dress.
