WASP Wednesday

Hi Sweeties!  I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season. We are, BUT...I lost a dear friend.

I've given myself permission to reflect, even though she means more to--her son's as a mother, her Husband as a wife and her parents--their daughter. And out of respect of her brother, sister in law, cousin and friends please know I'm celebrating the small part of her life I shared.

I'm being selfish, I know she is my friend--so I hope I don't upset anyone close to SSG. I love her too.

In her honor I thought it would be fun to remember some of our best times.

THIS IS THE SONG THAT WILL ALWAYS REMIND ME

  • Bumping into SSG at the spa--or just going together (Red Door or Tranquil Touch was our Go To)
  • Sharing the same brain--SSG always made me feel better about myself (For example--
I was like, do I really live here? And SSG would say "yes, but we have a Red Door."
  • Best cook ever, I loved her food (crab cakes--divine)
  • Beach--tailgates, parties, surfing, Honey--remember BH baby tent fell down, you thought I was funny. I probably wasn't but you always made me laugh harder when we were already laughing
  • Bikini's--SSG had the best bikini's ever (and body)
  • Best Parties--this Lady knew how to entertain (it was in her blood)
  • Best advice--I didn't grow up here. I leaned on her for a cry from time to time--she always fixed it
  • Best Secret Santa Party--lot's of prayers said there, none for herself of course
  • BFF--I've never met anyone who was closer with her son. She was the camp counselor at his summer camp. She is a FUN Mommy
  • Best advice--She always put it into perspective
  • DLG--It's a title we both wore well
I'll never forget the first time I met you. SSG you reminded me of my sister (the good parts). And we became close pretty fast. So did our boys. You always made me feel like I had been a part of your family forever. And I kind of owned that because your mother decorates like nothing I've ever seen and I was from out of town and I really enjoyed how you pulled me in, and included me. I'll Never Be the Same
Best of all, like anyone--she was human and lost her temper and, again made me feel human. A hole in my heart will never mend. Never--You made South Jersey worth living in for me. And no offense--South Jersey--That says A Lot. RIP pretty girl, collars up and we will be DEBs again another year. I'm a better person from knowing you. Thank you for always being sweet to my family. But mostly putting up with me--Ric agrees with you, I'm a bit like you--only not as pretty.

SSG---You are beautiful, fun, kind, a good cook, a GREAT mother, Missed--Missed--Missed--Missed--Missed--Missed--Missed

I Will Never Be the Same

And now I feel the need to talk "The Help,"--You is beautiful, you is kind and you is important. Don't stop being you even though you are in Heaven dealing with us. We are better off being in your life, and we will take care of your frat boys. I promise!

I love you SSG--RIP and thank you for always accepting me for who I am. South NJ is a bit lonely today--collars up?

SC

Yours,

PS-- MY SSG would die if I took things too serioulsy--this was our theme song I'm on a boat
