Place mats! A must have when you are entertaining. How many of you had people over this weekend? We did! On the boat, at the pool etc. By the end of the weekend I had a dirty house and 0 energy. But...it was so fun. I feel all I ever serve is steak, salad, corn, bread and edamame. I need a new menu--that is easy. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. The steak I serve is so easy and always loved
A1, Tabasco, red wine vinegar, mustard, soy sauce, red pepper, black pepper--marinade for at least 4 hours to delicious.
Any food ideas please let me know!
Hope everyone had a great 4th. Can't believe how fast it is going.
xoxo

I love that menu! I think we get tired of serving the same thing, but guests do NOT get tired of eating it!! Glad you had a great 4th!!
ReplyDeleteI would gladly dine at your house any day of the week with a menu like that- not to mention that you're the hostess with the mostest!
ReplyDeletewhat about grilled pineapple, grilled bell peppers and grilled squash/zucchini?! fresh produce and grilling = two absolute summer fav's that can't be beat!
kHm
We like Parmesan-crusted chicken with corn on the cob and a fruit salad.
ReplyDeleteBeth,
ReplyDeletecome check out my food blog. Lots of ideas for you. Funny though because we had steak and corn salad last weekend too!
I've been on a roll with sausage and peppers lately. I use a lot of red and yellow peppers, not too many green because they aren't as sweet. Just something to change it up. This dish keeps well so that I can stop cooking and start relaxing. Just don't overcook the peppers and onions or they become mushy.
ReplyDeleteWe love grilling mixed vegs with our steak;
ReplyDeleteassortment of peppers with plum tomatoes and zucchini grilled with our steak.
We also grill fish. There are many recipes online for that as well and its easy!
You are SO right- place mats are a MUST this time of year! Hope you had a great 4th :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou can do a pork loin pretty easy, then cous cous and grilled asparagus. We love that...or we do a whole roast chicken, greek salad and pesto pasta salad! Fabu!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds delicious! Glad you had a great 4th. What about barbeque chicken with some kind of summery salad with berries?
ReplyDeleteI made corn casserole on Friday for our bbq. Its really easy:
ReplyDeleteIngrediants:
1 can yellow (or white) corn (drained)
1 can cream corn
1 package corn bread mix
1 egg
1 stick melted butter (must be butter)
1 small container of sour cream
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a casserole with PAM. Mix together ingrediants and bake about 35-45 minutes until golden brown on top.
SO easy and SO delicious!
That menu sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI love placemats and matching cloth napkins- so fun! Sounds like a yummy steak...!
