So I finally watched Twilight. OMG. I loved it!!! Talk about my new favorite movie. It was really romantic--if you can handle they barely talk except about "what" Edward is. And I loved the scene when they show up to school together and he's like "well I'm already in trouble, we might as well just go for it," and he puts the glasses on, smiles and puts his arm around her. I wish there had been just a bit more humor but I really loved it. And it sort of got me out of my " I don't like anything new and fun" funk. But thank you for all of your suggestions as I plan to look into them. So should I have read the book? Am I really missing out? Annual Kennebunkport trip is approaching so after I read
1. One Fifth
2. Chasing Harry Winston
3. Secrets of the Hollywood girls Club

Shall I say finish, I've started all three. Plus, I have Senators Wife and one other should I read Twilight? I mean it is very teenage. Not to say that American Pie, Old School and I hear the Hangover aren't my favorite movies ever. I'm still in college as far as I can tell, just with a bigger sorority house (that is somehow occupied by men but oh well, in college all I wanted to do was be around the boys anyway). But will I enjoy it or is teenage angst. I'm over teenage angst. I'm dealing with should I get plastic surgery because I will be 40 soon. Let me know what you think.

Love you all

Peace Love and Gucci

  10. You just must read the Twilight books! If you liked the movie you will love the books. I thought they were much better than the movie...be warned there are a few parts that I thought kept repeating but they are great.

  11. By prompting by my HS students back when I was teaching, I read the entire Twilight series and was impressed- I think much better than the film!

And I hated Harry Winston and liked the Senator's Wife even less... but that's just me!

    Enjoy your holiday!

  13. I really liked Twilight the book. I read it before I saw the movie and thought the movie didn't do it justice. Try the book and see if you like it. Might be perfect vacation reading!

  18. You have no idea how much I want to see the film Twilight. Is it strange to admit that I have literally fallen in love with Edward simply from seeing the trailers of the film? I've read part of the first book - that's it. Not sure when I'll get around to finishing it or reading the series...

I hope you adore One Fifth and Chasing Harry Winston. I finished both of them just a few weeks ago and thought they were highly entertaining!

And no, you should not get plastic surgery when you hit 40. Haven't you heard? You're fabulous at 40! :)

  19. Didn't like the Twilight book. Thought Senator's Wife was OK, but I read it not long after reading An American Wife which I loved! I finished Julie and Julia not long ago and it is one of my favorite books. I am not reading My Life in France by Julia Child. Both are so inspiring!
