The weekend was really nice! The beach was beautiful on Saturday and then dinner outside on the dock Saturday night. Live music, friends etc. Then the weather got a bit ugly. So we decided to go to Annapolis on Monday for the day. What a great town. And of course I dropped by the pink crab--the Lilly Store. With the clouds etc I have not been feeling particularly like summer dressing but walk through any Lilly store always brightens my day. We had lunch on the water and really enjoyed the town.
Husband did not have ID so we could not walk onto the Navy Campus--bummer. I'm reading The Shack right now. Has anyone read it? It is a little bit more religious than I'm used to but I'm not done yet. Love to hear any opinions.
Back to work! Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
xoxo

I love Annapolis...I went to a few dances at the Naval Academy when I was in high school. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteLunch on the water sounds lovely! So glad you had a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend! The weather here wasn't great, either. Rain on and off throughout the weekend. Oh, well - time with family and friends is always great no matter what the weather!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a really fun Holiday weekend! Post some pics! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! We just spent the weekend with my boyfriend's mom. Nothing nearly as exciting as yours!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely way to spend the day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful weekend!!! And I totally can't find a bag. I can find 100s when I'm not looking to buy any. LOL!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteLoooove that book. My husband and I read it together and it was all we could talk about at times!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a busy week too. I am not familiar with that store maybe I will google it. And I don't read books so no I am not read that one. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to the beach..........
ReplyDeleteI've heard raves about that book, although one friend said it was completely different than what she was expecting and said it kinda depressed her. ??
ReplyDeleteI'm with Princess Freckles. (chanting) "We want pics! We want pics!"
'The Shack' tore me apart. Even though the writing is not the best technically-speaking, the story draws you in. But ... I truly can't take that kind of story right now ... I couldn't sleep at night while reading it ... or for days after.
ReplyDeleteI just added that book to my Amazon wish list. But I will have to be in a stronger mood to read it. It sounds like it is so heart wrenching.
ReplyDeleteLilly always perks me up too! I have a fall line dress and it's so colorful I usually wear in only spring and summer ;)
Thanks for the comment and I will check out your blog further when I have more time! I'm off to bed! :)
ReplyDeleteAnnapolis is gorgeous - what a great place to spend labor day weekend! I read The Shack earlier in the year -- it was pretty disturbing & heart wrenching throughout, and very religious--but interesting -- especially how they depicted the trinity.
ReplyDeletethank you for being one of my first followers -- its encouraging me to keep blogging! xxo
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I haven't read The Shack, but my cousin recently did and was telling me all about it last week. Can't wait to hear your opinion on it!
ReplyDeleteawwww sounds like a fun weekend! too bad it didn't last forever.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Shack. It's a deep river and you have to just go there. It's really heavy but amazing!
ReplyDeleteI got stuck in the middle of the Shack and haven't gone back yet. It's definitely worth the read. Heartwrenching but deeply touching.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!!! We're at the point where we must paint the pool and re-tile. A tile falls off every other week.
