I may be Dunn but today I'm finally Finished!

Happy Preppy Friday.

Yesterday, obviously because of the mean girl, I had to take some personal time to unwind. I went to Rittenhouse Square for a mani (and chair massage while I was getting said mani), and met my bestie Kim for some wine and food at Smith & Wollensky inside the Rittenhouse Hotel. It did the trick!

Wearing my new Kate Spade dress and feeling the preppy love. Thank you for everyone's supportive and lovely comments. I have to share with you what Mrs. Snoots said to me, it is a quote from Dr. Seuss (my all time fav author) "The people that matter don't mind. The people who mind don't matter." After today I promise to learn to live up to this saying. You all touch me in so many lovely ways. Thank you!

So my final finished thoughts on mean girls:
The more people are talking about you, the more fabulous you are.
I know not everyone is going to like me or my novel Social Climbers.click here to purchase
BUT, I'm just doing my best in this world to get by, give back and live the glam life. All while trying to be a good mother, daughter, wife, and God lover.
Living well is the best revenge.
Obviously you are super sensitive and defensive to something you did that embarrassed you and your family. Don't take it out on me. Own your behavior. You were born an original, don't die a copy (stolen from my little sis QBS)

CAREFUL OR YOU'LL END UP IN MY NOVEL

  1. I just heard that "The more people are talking about you, the more fabulous you are" the other day. In a way it's true--if people care enough to talk about you, whether or good or bad, you're probably doing pretty well!

  2. Good for you! You have too many positives going on right now to let the negatives drag you down (although, some statements can really hurt feelings and you have every right to feel stung at times). Can't wait to see the unveiling of your latest project. Cheers!

  3. Mean girls are lonely girls; I've learned this. I find that it must be truly hard for some women to be happy for others. It's not a fault to be successful, nor is it a fault to desire and treasure the finer things in life. Too many times I've experienced the jealousy of others and while it's sad, it must be overlooked. So we shall live the preppy life and love each and every moment! Ciao Bella!

  4. So true! I love the quote from Dr. Seuss. If I worried about every mean girl, I couldn't worry about the important things in life that really do matter. Thanks for being you. xoxo

  5. Dr Seuss was a very wise man. Great picture by the way.

  6. Some people should just build a bridge...and get over themselves! I used to let those people get to me but then I remembered a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt "No one can make you feel inferior without your permission." So I decided then and there that I was not giving them that power and if they still wanted to talk smack about me, well then let them because 1) they were letting someone else off hook for a while and 2) karma is one mean beotch and she will definitely come back to get those who truly deserve it!

  7. Good for you! I am glad you took a little time for yourself. Mean people just need to be forgotten. They don't count. Lord knows I have dealt with my share. I am a big believer in karma and what goes around definitely comes around.

  8. I've been mean girl fodder off and on my whole life and I hate it. I've modeled my life to try to be as considerate to everyone as I can because everyone deserves respect. Just because someone is miserable, they should not project that on another. It's a lesson that I've learned time and time again.

I think you are awesome! :)

  26. Good for you. All that matters is that you are a good person, forget others who treat you badly!

    Love that quote =)

  27. I Love 90's is right. You also have to remember these people don't know YOU and although it hurts when people say hurtful things, they aren't the ones that matter.

    Obviously, they are jealous.

I'm glad you met up with a good friend and had a great day. That is the sweetest revenge.

  31. I always think meanness is a sign of unhappiness. I once worked with a 'mean girl' she was a very unhappy person. Unfortunately, she worked with kids.

  35. I guess we all are affected by the mean girls as much as we want to say we don't care. I have to constantly remind myself that mean people do not matter! We need to remember the wonderful people who are n't mean to us. Glad you are feeling Better! You look beautiful! Thanks for reminding me of the Dr. Seuss quote! xoxo

  36. I plan to read your book....but after perusing the outline one must point out that the Academy Ball is about as exclusive as Wawa... generally anyone with the price of a ticket can attend. Now, if you want to address inner circle old Main Line, and the Everest of "social climbing" , then tackle The Assembly Ball.
