In celebration of the Stephan Bonanno sale I'm doing a shoe contest. Each day we'll wear a different designer and at the end of the week we'll vote which are most comfortable. I have a theory about shoes: The more expensive they are the more comfortable they are. And people who design shoes first and foremost make the best ones. But, I'm willing to put my theory to the test. Post a picture each day of your choice of shoe and we'll have such fun trying out all of our shoes.
Monday-Gucci
Tuesday-Manolo Blahnik
Wednesday-Jimmy Choo
Thursday-Louis Vuitton
Friday- Kate Spade
Saturday-Lilly Pulitzer
Sunday-Christian Louboutin
I'm so excited to plan my outfits around my shoes. I had fun wearing skirts but I'm ready for May!

I don't know if it's actually true or just me lookin' for an excuse to spend $$$$ on the best shoes, but the expensive ones really are more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteYou know I have to buy Kate's a size too big because they run small on me for a reason. Do you have that issue?
ReplyDeleteThe more expensive the more comfortable...SO TRUE! Have a nice weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteOh how I dream of owning a pair of Christian Louboutin. If the more expensive the more comfortable they are I need a pair pronto!

CDS yes, KS shoes run small! xoxo

Proud to say at age 21 I own Gucci shoes (that I bought on my own!), Lilly Pulitzer, and Kate Spade. I dated the heir to Manolo Blahnik but didn't get any shoes out of it... does that count? haha Looking forward to this week!
ReplyDeleteThis will be so interesting! I love Lilly shoes! Happy Derby Weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love my gucci pumps but they are so very uncomfortable, I hear JC's are divine to wear. Looking forward to the results.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree...especially with my Cole Haan mocs...heaven....
ReplyDeleteWhat fun this will be!
ReplyDeleteThat will be so fun to see all of your amazing shoes. You'll have to start with showing us your closet. I'd love to see how you have it organized! And yes, I agree, the more expensive, the more "like butta" they are when you slip into them. :) You'll have to add Bonanno's to your list too, to celebrate their sale, or at least show us your collection of B's.
ReplyDeleteSC, forgive me for being dense but I'm seeing this more as a poll and less as a contest. With a contest there is a prize, right? And where for art thou, Chanel and Ferragamo?
ReplyDeleteI've got a pair of Loub's and I can say that while they were pricey they are NOT comfortable at all. However I walked comfortably down Avenue Montaigne in a pair of just-as-pricey Dior platforms with 5" heels and I felt equally at ease in my sky-high Prada's.
Have you been to Jeffrey's in the Meatpacking District? Shoe heaven and (dare I say) even better than NM.
This will be fun and very interesting. Yep, I too agree, the more expensive the better they feel. I have so much trouble findin' big girl shoes that fit. Now, get me in the kids department...no problem.
ReplyDeleteYa'll have a fabulous Friday!!!
Okay I'm gonna have to live vicariously through you and your amazing shoe collection for this one! Don't be surprised by the thief that comes to steal all of your very expensive footwear, it's just little ol' me! Umm, what size shoe do you wear?! Haha! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh and can't wait to see the outfits that go with these gems!
Haha, I better order those Kate Spade flats I've been eyeing on Zappos. Good to know they run small.
ReplyDeleteWomen and their shoes. When I see them they just look painful.
ReplyDeleteI am partial to Ferragamo's. Until my broken foot heals, I will be wearing my Tretorns. I will be reading to see all of the shoes.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered Think! sandals and love them, but won't be showing my sandals every day. Once I find some that I like, I buy them in every color, so that would be boring on my part. However, I'll love seeing your array...
ReplyDeleteBesides, I have way more golf shoes and they get ugly after you wear them 2 or 3 times...
;-)
Love, love, love shoes and love spying on other people's shoe collections. I have been wondering about the comfort of Loub's. You'll have to tell us more!
