I love Whitney's necklaces

This is a dear friend who also happens to design beautiful necklaces ( I have one and wear it ALL the time). I figured I'd interview her. Enjoy!
Whitney, your jewelry is so awesome! What is your inspiration?
Thanks Beth! My inspiration comes from growing up with no money but always wanting beautiful things. As I got older I was blessed with a great work ethic and worked hard to support myself. I met my hubby and was able to start collecting beautiful beads of all sorts. To me it’s all about finding fabulous looking beads at affordable prices so I can pass that onto all of you!

When you were little what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little, I always thought I would grow up to be a news anchor or a fashion designer. I wound up going to college to receive my degree in Finance, go figure. I did work in the financial field during the best time when the economy was thriving. It was such an awesome experience, however like every roller coaster; the ride had to end at some point. But my future had other plans in store for me that I wouldn’t have imagined. That is why I feel that everything happens for a reason and sometimes the worst of situations can truly be a blessing in disguise.

Please tell my readers all of your jobs!
Are you sure you want me to answer this, it could be the longest answer..haha. Ok where do I start, currently I am the President and Founder of The Whitney International Network www.gotowhitney.com. I specialize in connecting people and I provide a service called a WIN Wing Woman where I will go with you to an event and help you network efficiently, or if you are single and need help meeting someone I will go with you to a function and help facilitate conversation with potential suitors. Either way I want to help you!
I am also a Councilwoman for Galloway Township, The President of the Greater Atlantic City Jaycees which is the Junior Chamber of Commerce. I am a member of great groups such as the E-Women Network and they nominated me as one of its Emerging Leaders in Southern New Jersey. I was chosen among 11 other finalists across North America and was recognized at the national conference in Dallas, TX this past summer. I am a member of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners and was recently recognized during their women’s leadership event at the PNC Center as woman in a non traditional role with my success on council. Other groups which I am a member and I participate are: The South Jersey Women Network, The Atlantic City Public Relations Council, The Atlantic City Tourism Council, The Metropolitan Business and Citizens Association, the Galloway Township Business Association and more.
I serve on the board and fundraising committee for the Alcove Center for Grieving Children and their
Families www.thealcove.org.
In 2008 I earned the distinction of being named one of the Top 40 Leaders/Professionals under 40 years old in Atlantic and Cape May Counties by AC Weekly magazine. Subsequently I became a co-chair of that same event in 2009 and 2010; and now I am writing a weekly advice column for Atlantic City Weekly called Whitney’s Radar and I do a weekly TV Segment during the NBC 40 news called the Entertainment Minute along with a corresponding radio segment every Monday.
All of this and I still have a successful jewelry business with my pieces in great places around Atlantic County. And I have been able to maintain fabulous health through an all natural drink that is a blessing to everyone who has tried it. Let me know if you would like more information.
Bottom line, I love helping people whether it’s to get you a fabulous look for less, to meet new people to grow your business, or to meet a potential suitor. I am here for you!

If you could leave one mark in this world, what would it be?
We all have the opportunity to make a difference in our own little way and I definitely want people to know that success isn’t built on dreams. It’s built on having those dreams, knowing who you are, being yourself, helping others, and working hard. Also, being wealthy means having lots of money and assets to most, but remember one thing, if you don’t have your health and you do not have someone to love or love you then the definition of wealth won’t mean anything to you. Make sure to take care of yourself so you can help others and I promise that true wealth will follow
