Monogram Monday

I'm sad I missed the entire weekend and did not post a blog. I don't have my cell phone so taking quick pics for the blog isn't an option. I kind of like not having a cell phone. It's strange because I love my iPhone. I love my itunes etc. But I like not having the constant updates to go through and texting is annoying. We had a great weekend! I had my cousins baby shower on Saturday then a wedding. Sunday we spent the day at the beach. It was beautiful. Everyone looks better with a tan, you can't tell me the sun is 100% pure evil. It is fun to play in the sun, it feels nice and you look prettier. What is with the media attacking the sun 24/7? Seriously what did it do to get such bad press? I love the sun! Have a great day.

  1. Big Pharma is behind the bad press. The sun is actually quite good for us...it contributes to the prevention of many diseases.

If you want the info on sunscreens and how they are the cause of skin cancer let me know...I have a few links.

  2. I love not having a cell phone sometimes. Not being linked up to everything actually gives you time to live your life. But I can only handle it for a few days. After that I need to know what is going on with everyone!

  4. Not having the cell can be very "zen". I know I enjoy the scenery around me more without the distraction of it!

  7. The sun is my favorite source of vitamin D! Slather on some SPF and enjoy :)

  8. No, the sun is not 100% evil, we need the Vitamin D! It's all in moderation, truly.
I love Louis Vuitton luggage but I don't want to look like it!

  9. That sounds like a lovely weekend. The sun is not 100% bad, but just like with everything else...moderation is needed. My hubs is only 34 and has had some bad cells removed already. That's what happens when you are a red head in Miami!

  10. Beth, Sounds like you had a wonderful relaxing weekend! You did alot with a shower , wedding and the beach. But ...fun things.
You will laugh because I don't like the sun! I know! I know! All my life i just can't take the heat! And I am WHITE, this is the truth, I have never had a tan in my life. I can not even get a tan with a self tanner because I dont have enough pigment to even do that! hahaha! It's true! I burn - then back to white. I've made peace with the fact I will never be a bronze beauty. I shall even do a post on it... and I am so envious of those of you that just glow in the summer! Thanks for following, I am your newest follower!
    Have a pretty day,

  11. I like the sun, too! And I'm notorious with my friends for never having my phone on; I hate the attachment to an electronic.

  12. I love the sun... sitting in it's glorious rays is so soothing. Of course I do wear sunscreen, but love a little cullah on my face!

  13. It sounds like you had a very nice weekend!
I don't think there is anything wrong with being out in the sun. But it can be very damaging to skin, which is why people make such a big deal about it. That's why it's so important to wear sunscreen. It's nice to be outside, but I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say everyone looks good with a tan. I have very fair skin. I love it. I don't ever want to damage my skin to be tan.

  14. We're sunny people here, too. My body is tanned, but my face less so--SPF 15 baby!
I love being unplugged. It's kind of liberating.
