Mongram Monday

Hello! I hope everyone had a terrific weekend. Regatta season is still in full swing. We were in Long Beach Island yesterday and Saturday Greye plays tennis. It was a beautiful weekend! Transitioning from summer to fall clothes always possess a stumbling block for me. This is why I'm a huge fan of "the white shirt." It is so versatile. What is your transition piece?

  1. You cute thing you!!

I have 4 lightweight sweatshirts (white, blue, pink & bkl) that are more tailored (dont have elestic band on arms or waist) that I have monogrammed.....LOVE THEM!!

I practically live in them b/c I am so cold natured.

I hope your Monday is great!

  2. Scarves...they make a summer weight sweater an autumn look...they add panache to anything from a t-shirt to a coat and add that little bit of extra warmth. I especially go for the big cashmere/silk ones sold by LP and T&Co :O)

  3. Agreed! Plain tees and scarves are amazing in the fall! And I love changing my Murfee into a shawl when the sun goes down!

  4. Love scarves and light jackets--I have a great yellow and white striped sweater coat from a few years ago that makes any outfit pop! ;)

  5. I have to agree with the other girls- love scarves year-round! Thinner ones during the summer to dress up a tank or dress, and thicker ones during cooler weather!

  12. My transition piece is a lightweight, brown jacket. I'm getting back to tennis, too, I missed last week, and it totally threw me off yesterday.

  13. My transition piece is this gorgeous little fitted Ralph Lauren dark denim jacket with equestrian buckles. I got it several years ago, & every fall I break it out to wear over my most neutrally-colored sleeveless dresses until it gets cooler. It is so flattering in fit, & it's the most sophisticated denim jacket I've ever seen...I remember the fall that I was pregnant, I almost cried when I realized the day had come that it would no longer zip. =)

  14. For me, it's tights, lol. I'm a ballroom dancer, so I'm always in dance clothes. I never get to "really" dress unless I'm on a rare date night with the hubby!

  18. Aren't you precious in that lifeguard chair!

I don't really have a transition piece. I just struggle for about 2 months, and then it's winter :)

  19. Oh I love your white shirt as a transition piece! I have a few cardigan's from LOFT and J.Crew that I use in the mornings when it's cooler and then can easily take off during the day. May have to go get some of your white shirts though. Fabulous! xoxo

  21. Hello SC,

Thanks for stopping by! My transitionals are scarves and cardigans. I love white shirts. My son says I have enough white shirts for several people! I do not see a problem with that...

  22. Since I lost 30 pounds over the summer, I am so lost when it comes to clothes since nothing fits and my bank account isn't allowing for shopping right now. I'm happy you had a wonderful weekend.
