It's happening. Remember that dream house I blogged about a few days ago? Well I'm going to try to buy it. But to do so I have to sell my amazing house on the water. It's bitter sweet. I have so many memories here. I picked out every tile in my bathroom, installed a heated towel rack Husband fell in love with when we were in France. Agonized over the wall paper in the nursery. Picked out my window treatments to reflect my love of Safari.
Each morning I have coffee over looking the water (which leads to the ocean) and the birds help me wake up fully. When we are hot from summer humidity we jump as a family into our pool. I've listened to my son's go from crying to giggling and they learned to walk in this house.
We've had family movie night by the fire and you know Husband and I have had some fights in our master suite over looking the water. But we've also hugged on the mahogany deck we designed and had built.

It is priced to sell, quickly. We have to make a decision as school starts in a week. The house is a perfect primary home but it is only 45 minutes from Philadelphia and 2 hours from NYC, many people in riverview estates use these homes as 2nd homes. Our neighborhood also boasts a members only beach club and our home has a private dock. I live to water ski!
The house is so high up you don't need flood insurance. It is three floors, four bedroom (although you could easily make an additional suite on the 1st level) and three full baths. I've already had two showings. Wish me luck!

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your home was.. and IS.. full of wonderful memories. I think your happiness will show through to a potential buyer.. kind-of like walking in and smelling cookies baking or a vanilla candle burning. Wishing you all the best with your pending purchase and the sale of your existing home.
