"It is the inalienable right of every man, woman and child to wear khaki,"
This is for my girl at Entertianing Home/Kitchen Jessica
I'm not only wearing Khaki pants but my yellow rain slicker from Eagles Eye (my lone item from the brand)!
We were in LBI for a regatta, in the rain and enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Blue Whale
1st day of preppy challenge--check!
Stay Preppy

off to a dang good start!! Hope you have a great day = )
ReplyDeleteI was cleaning out a bookcase a few years ago and found my copy from college. What totally freaked me out what how much my family resembled the drawing of the prep family....I always wondered why four kids seemed to be the right number to me. It was subliminal influence from TOPH!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I might have pull out my pink Izod polo, add-a-bead necklace and Khaki pants - which I always made sure matched my wooden-handled, changeable covers monogrammed purse (usually the pink shirt called for the green cover on the purse).
ReplyDeleteYou are just to darn cute! I need more Khaki in my life.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I still had my copy from my high school days. I don't know what I was thinking when I reluctantly threw mine away as I was packing up my things from my parents house right before I was getting married almost twenty years ago.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love this! Proud to say when I looked down I am sporting my khaks! Makes me kinda want to break out my old bermuda bags...
ReplyDeleteCute, cute. #1: check
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, and such a cute picture! I love the pop of orange from your bag!!
ReplyDeleteI have khaki! check..oops I should be wearing it ;) Love the picture, spot of sunshine on a cloudy day!
ReplyDeleteYou are rockin' the preppy for sure! Love your bag, BTW.
ReplyDeleteI need to get this handbook!
ReplyDeletePreppy Handbook - Amen honey! Love, love this post. xoxo
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Lol. I need to read that book! Cute rain coat too, btw.
ReplyDeleteI covet your rain slicker. So fab!
ReplyDeleteI love that rain coat. You are looking cute!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeletexoxo!
It's still a fun read! Love that my hometown is mentioned - Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Boarding school life, isn't what it used to be that is for sure at least when I went away to boarding school! Also, it gives great ideas for registering, wish more brides would register for silver servware, silver flatware, china and formal stemware - sorry but registering for a snuggie isn't going to cut it! People are going so practical these days, they will regret it down the road! HA! HA! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!! I still need to get this book but at least I know I fit in with one of the rules. :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteRight on the money so far!!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally re-reading my copy right now as well!! Isn't it funny how some things just never do seem to change :)
ReplyDeleteAren't you just the cutest little prep on the block!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the preppy queen to me, ya little fashion diva, you. I love the fact that ya topped it with a slicker and accented it with the orange purse. I have khakis. Would that make me a preppy farm chick?
ReplyDeleteHave a fun filled day!!!
Haha too funny!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. When I shop, I always have a "scenario" for why I need an outfit. Like, "ooh I can where this yachting one day! and if there's a chance of rain-I need this to go with it!" This one is going on my list!
ReplyDeleteyou look darling and TOPH is just always relevant in my humble opinion!

I love your post!!!
ReplyDeleteAren't you cute! LOL
Love your raincoat! LOVE LOVE LOVE your bag.
I'm still in angst over the fact that my mother GAVE AWAY my copy of the Handbbook when they sold the apartment in NYC. I still have HUGE issues over this. My dance, music and regular schools were mentioned. The entire book was dog eared. I was upset to learn not too long ago that the whole book was a mockery. Maybe one day I will fork over the change and get another copy.
And now I have a confession to make. I hate khaki. It looks TERRIBLE on me. I have a pair of khaki pants but never wear them.
by the way... the word I had to type in for verification was "grody"... that just totally made me LOL!
ReplyDeleteI had some Eagles Eye sweaters...I wonder if they are still in my closet somewhere.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me want to pull out even more old pics...
I still have several pieces of Eagles Eye clothing that I still wear. I get out my copy of TOPH and read it about every six to nine months. I may take the preppy challenge also.
ReplyDeletelove your blog! CUTE idea!
ReplyDeletenothing beats super worn in khakis..in both comfort and preppiness.
You are so cute it's insane. I adore you!
ReplyDeleteOh please tell me this is going to be a series! LOL...I love that book!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I still had my copy from my high school days. I don't know what I was thinking when I reluctantly threw mine away as I was packing up my things

ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! I just pulled out an Eagles Eye turtleneck for my 9 month son! I guess EE never goes out of style! :) (And I must say that my son Henry looks fantastic in his striped turtleneck!) :)

ReplyDeleteYou look so good in khaki and that yellow jacket is awesome. I love the look.
ReplyDeleteBeth, the Toms is the comfiest shoes. I took it for a spin yesterday and I'm so impressed. I want to buy another one.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. However, with 359 followers....clearly you do not "suck"! And a novel to boot! Awesome. Carry on Khaki.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog visit! I'm looking forward to delving deeper into yours!
